It’s SPRING!
“When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself.”
― Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast
As of Monday March 20th, it officially became Spring! I couldn’t be more excited about this. I am SO ready for the cold, rain and snow to give this city a break. The renovations on the Burrard Bridge were finally completed recently, and yesterday we took a little stroll across it, during Magic Hour. (In photography, the golden hour (sometimes known as magic hour, especially in cinematography) is a period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer than when the Sun is higher in the sky.- Wikipedia).
Magic/Golden hour is the absolute perfect time to take photos, and I knew the ocean views from the Burrard Bridge, would be spectacular in this light. I was right! The sunset hit the ocean, and every color came to life. It was like a sea of pastels. I didn’t realize how much I missed walking across this bridge, it’s been under construction for so long.
Here are some photos from my Magic Hour walk. Hope you all enjoy some of your own beautiful sunsets this weekend.
Love Carly.
