I hope you are all having a fantastic Summer. I can’t BELIEVE it’s half-way through JULY already!! I am just starting to feel like I’m an acceptable shade (yet still very very pale) of tan, to wear shorts! I just bought a ton of cute Summer outfits, and I feel like it’s going to be September before I know it! Oh well… despite the racing time, I’ve been having such an incredible Summer so far. Last night, one of my best friends Julia and I, decided to have a little double date (with our other-half’s Ryan & Andy) to the Richmond Night Market!
I haven’t been out to the Night Market, in probably close to FIVE YEARS! They have it every year, and I’ve been going since I was a little girl. The incredible food, the shopping, the entertainment.. it’s all amazing! It’s super easy to get to as well, it’s literally right across the street from the Bridgeport Skytrain Station! Ryan and I met up with Julia and Andy, and into the market we went! The line-up during the Summer can actually take hours.. but if you buy a “Fast-Pass” it’s 25$ for two people to get right in, zero line! In my opinion it’s 100% worth it.
Anyways so in we went…. and I can’t even describe the intense food-choice-anxiety we were all having! There are probably close to 50 food booths, with everything from tacos, Korean BBQ, mango desserts, Rotatos, fish-balls (my personal fav, especially in spicy), skewers, BBQ Corn, deep fried EVERYTHING… it’s just overwhelming. You literally want to try every single thing, and you don’t want to choose the wrong thing, and “peak” too soon.
It was such a fun evening, and a complete feast. I should definitely NOT have worn high-waisted jean shorts, they were bursting by ten pm. It was a night off from the Summer-Diet, that’s for sure. We tried so much amazing food, saw a ton of crazy robotic Dinosaurs, checked out some wild shops (I also got the most EPIC cell-phone case EVER, you will see in the photos below.. HINT: It has to do with the incomparable Seinfeld).. and we just had the most fun double-date ever. I love Julia and Andy so much, and this was such a good time. You guys should check it out for sure if you live in the area.
I’ll attach a couple random photos from our evening out.
Love you guys,
See you all soon for my “July Wrap Up”, and let me tell you… this might be my BEST Reading Month so far this year. I have absolutely loved every book I’ve read so far, which never happens!
