It’s almost CHRISTMAS!
It’s December 10th, and we are in full Christmas-Mode over here. As soon as the clock hit 12:01 AM on December 1st, I literally RAN into the living room.. grabbed our Advent Calendar’s.. and forced Ryan to open Day #1 with me! Basically it was full-steam ahead with the Christmas activities after that. Also with the Christmas PJ’S.
We got our Christmas tree up and running, watched “Elf, Love Actually, The Holiday, and Bad Santa”, baked Christmas Cookies.. and I bought a very ugly Christmas Sweater. To say we are ready for the Christmas Season is an understatement.
During the first week of December, it was our nephew Liam’s SECOND BIRTHDAY! How is this little boy already TWO years old?! We headed over to Nanaimo for the weekend, and had such an amazing time. Liam is the cutest two year old in the world, and our other nephew Quade is equally as cute.. and only a few months younger. It was so nice to see the family, and to get some quality time with the littlest members of our family too <3
We flew home with Harbour Air, which is always such a wonderful treat. You can get home from Downtown Nanaimo (Vancouver Island) to Downtown Vancouver in FIFTEEN MINUTES… V.S the 2.5 ish hour Ferry Ride. We often take the B.C Ferries, because the float plane isn’t exactly cheap.. but once in a while it’s SO worth it for the time saved/convenience. Also I got some incredible photos from the window of the float plane. You would think with my flying phobia that a float plane would be terrifying.. but I rationalize this fear by thinking “oh it could totally just land on the water right?”. I’ll just go with that, haha. The float plane flies over the ocean the entire time, and it seems very close to the water. The view is breathtaking.. one time we even saw a pod of whales from above!
Here are some photos from our amazing weekend away,
See you all soon with some very festive Christmas posts…. as WELL as my “December Wrap Up”…. AND my absolute FAV post of the year “Best Books of 2017”.
