March Wrap Up

Hi You Guys!

Another Month, Another Wrap Up <3

Also.. it’s officially Spring now, which I couldn’t be more excited about. I am horribly allergic to Cherry Blossom’s, but they are the most gorgeous thing EVER to photograph.. so that makes the burning eyes slightly more bearable. Allergies aside, March was an incredible month.

Not only was it my Mom’s Birthday, but it was also my BFF Tina’s Birthday as well <3 Both of those celebrations were so much fun, and Tina’s little son is a MONTH old already.. I can’t believe it! He’s so perfect, I’m so in love. Seeing her with her adorable baby, is giving me baby fever.. REALLY badly. I’m getting married in 7 months, and I just bought my dress (which is quite tight & fitted), so I really have to wait to get pregnant until after the Wedding for sure, haha!

Wedding Planning is going very well, and I’m so lucky to have the greatest Bridesmaids by my side helping me out. My parents have been such a huge help as well, and I think everyone is getting really excited now. It’s 7 months away eek! My amazing Mom, bought me the most stunning Wedding Dress yesterday, and I am so in love with it. It’s everything I ever dreamed it would be, and it’s so gorgeous! I can’t wait to wear it on my Wedding Day, and I’m so excited for you guys to see it as well. It was such a special day for my Mom, Sister and I. My Sister is my Maid of Honor, and she has gone so above and beyond to make this whole process so special for me, and I couldn’t be happier. I am the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to watch all my beautiful Bridesmaids try on Bridesmaid Dresses, in a few months! We are going to have so much fun…. and don’t even get me started on how wild the Bachelorette Party is going to be.

During March, I also attended Julia’s Bridal Shower, which was perfect. I shared some photos of the event, in my previous Blog Post (if you want to check it out). I also went to the LORDE concert, which I’ll tell you more about below… as WELL as a mind-blowing Spice-Girls Drag Show. Can’t wait to give you all the details..

Even though March was a really busy month, I actually managed to read quite a few books, discover a new Series.. and watch so many TV Shows & Movies too! I’m so excited to break it all down for you guys, and maybe introduce you to a new book, show, or movie you haven’t heard of yet.

I’ll break it all down for you guys below,

TV SHOWS

1.) “Siren”

Horror/Drama

Brand New Show, On Free-form (It’s about MERMAIDS)

10/10

MV5BZjhiNjZkOWQtNGI3YS00YTczLWE4OWMtYzRhYWVhMGQ2NmJhXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMjYwNDA2MDE@._V1_SY1000_CR0,0,676,1000_AL_MV5BOTM5NzUwNDg1M15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMDg2MDcxNTM@._V1_SX1777_CR0,0,1777,985_AL_

I’m not sure if you guys know how obsessed with Mermaids I am…. but let me fill you in. I love pretty much anything/everything that has to do with any kind of Mermaid. When I was in Kindergarten “The Little Mermaid” was kind of a borderline-creepy obsession for me.. (honestly it still is). I used to wear a towel on my legs, held together with an elastic, and roll around on the kitchen floor.. because I was a Mermaid, obviously. My parents only became concerned, when I took the obsession out of the house.. and began to act super weird at school. I refused to speak to the Kindergarten teacher, because I was Ariel and I had “lost my voice”.. you get the picture. They weren’t impressed, and I got in all this trouble.. but I just kept doing it. My poor parents haha.

Anyway, many years later I’m still a big fan. I find that Mermaid Books/Tv Shows & Movies are really lacking. There are some that stand out.. obviously “The Little Mermaid”, “Splash”, “Aquamarine”, and “The Lure”, etc.. But it’s a fantasy-genre that isn’t really that explored. I mean how many Vampire movies are there, 300? So when I saw that this new show “Siren” was coming out in March, I was SO excited.

I don’t want to get too ahead of myself here, because it’s only had two episodes so far (it’s on again tomorrow night!). Sometimes I get all hyped on a show and recommend it to everyone.. and then the dreaded “cancellation season” happens, and like half of the new shows I was enjoying get cut 🙁 So I really hope this one does well, and that it makes the cut!

I loved everything about the first two episodes. It’s not your average Disney Mermaid here.. it’s a creepy and violent.. killer mermaid type of situation. Quite violent, super dark… and it has the most amazing “small town obsessed with mermaids, who might be in the presence of a real mermaid” vibe.. and I loved it. The main actress they cast is incredible, and she has the most fantastic bone structure I’ve ever seen. She looks almost in-humanly beautiful.. which works perfect.. because obviously she’s the “Siren”.

I would definitely suggest this one, if you guys are into Mermaids at all.

I’ll attach the Google Plot Blurb below as well,

(Legend has it that Bristol Cove was once home to mermaids. Now, this coastal town has a mysterious new visitor in a girl named Ryn, who may just prove that all of the stories are true. Ryn catches the eye of local marine biologist Ben, and when he begins to show interest, fellow marine biologist Maddie becomes suspicious. Others in town, like deep sea fisherman Xander, are on a quest to discover the truth that is out there, and Helen, the town eccentric, knows more about the mysterious creatures than she lets on. The battle between man and sea takes a dangerous route as these predators seek to claim their birthright.)

Oh. My. GOD this show is absolutely terrifying. It’s so creepy, that I’m almost afraid to recommend it, because I’m still having nightmares about a certain episode I watched last week. If you like Horror Movies, and Urban Legends.. you will love this.

There are 3 Seasons out so far of this show, and I watched them all. Each Season tells a different, equally horrifying story. It’s so well done, and uses a blend of somewhat simplistic horror effects (think “The Strangers), while also adding a bit of to-the-bone chilling visuals as well. Some of the “monsters” in this, I will NEVER forget seeing for the first time. Especially Season 1 Episode 1… those DOLLS… Ahhh.

I’ll attach the Plot Summary for each of the Season’s of the show.. as they are all different and completely independent stories.

Enjoy, if you dare!

I’ll attach the Wikipedia Plot Summary Below,

(Season 1: Candle Cove// A child psychologist returns to his hometown to determine if his brother’s disappearance is somehow connected to a series of similar incidents and a bizarre children’s television show that aired at the same time.)

(Season 2: No-End House// A young woman and her group of friends visit a bizarre house of horrors only to find themselves questioning whether it is a tourist attraction or something more sinister.)

(Season 3: Butcher’s Block// A young woman moves to a new city haunted by a series of disappearances and, after learning that they may be connected to a baffling rumor, works with her sister to discover what is preying on the city’s residents.)

First off.. I would watch literally anything Bill Hader is involved in. Not only does Bill Hader star in HBO’s new show “Barry”, but he Wrote AND Directed it!

There has only been one Episode so far, and it was great. Bill Hader plays Barry, who is a Hit-man. He’s getting a bit sick of the whole Hit-man thing, and while on a recent “hit-job” out in LA.. he ends up getting accidentally involved in a L.A acting group. He is there to scout out a kill target.. but he finds himself drawn to the acting class.. and basically decides he wants to become an Actor. It was HILARIOUS. Super dark, but so funny. Very Dexter-like.

I can’t wait for Episode Two!

This Netflix Special, blew my MIND. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since I watched it. Derren Brown, is a very famous Mentalist.. who has MANY TV Specials.. where he hypnotizes people, and manipulates their realities. Watching him.. is almost like he’s preforming some weird mix of magic and psychological manipulation.. in a fascinating way.

This special “The Push”, like all of Derren’s other specials.. was made with the help of hundreds of people. Undercover actors, stunts, sets.. EVERYTHING. He goes so above and beyond to make the Social Experiment seem as “real” as possible, to the person he’s preforming the stunt on.

This Special, was basically all about the power of social-compliance, and how he believed he could get an average person.. to commit murder.. under these certain circumstances. It all takes place in one evening, highly orchestrated.. and he believe within mere hours.. he will make this person, push a man off the roof, to his death.. all done by Social-Compliance and Psychological Manipulation. TRUST ME YOU GUYS, this was a MUST watch! I honestly found it a bit disturbing, and something about it felt kind of wrong. I don’t want to say any more and spoil anything, but I will attach the IMDB Plot Blurb Below as well,

(Derren Brown investigates the power of compliance by persuading a member of the public into believing that they have pushed someone to their death.)

MOVIES

1.) “Love Simon”

10/10

In Theaters

Can’t Express HOW Much I LOVED This!!

MV5BNTIwYmQ4NjYtZTZmMy00NmJlLWJhZjAtZTc4M2Y4MjVjMjkzXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNDg2MjUxNjM@._V1_SY1000_SX1500_AL_MV5BMGRhMmEyYTAtOTgzNy00ZGRhLWI3YWYtNjI2MmEwMDVkYjYyXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNTE0MDE1MjQ@._V1_SY1000_CR0,0,675,1000_AL_

“Simon VS The Homo Sapiens Agenda” was one of the best books I read during March, and literally the SECOND I finished the final page.. I immediately went online and bought a ticket to go see this movie. I went alone to a mid-day matinee, and I was BAWLING like a total psycho.. alone in the theater. Everyone around me was super into the movie, so hopefully they didn’t think I was a complete loser, haha.

I loved this movie so much.. for a hundred different reasons. Firstly, the CASTING was dead-on. Simon, played by the gorgeous Nick Robinson.. did the book proud. Nick is a fantastic young actor, and he played this role with so much heart, and it felt so authentic. Katherine Langford (who played Hannah Baker in “13 Reasons Why” was amazing as Leah as well.

This is the story of Simon, who has fallen in love with a mystery guy online. They met on a Gossip-Blog, that people in their high-school can post anonymous confessions, spread gossip, etc. Simon hasn’t “come out” yet to his friends and family, and he can really relate to what this mystery guy is going through.

This is such a beautiful, heartwarming love-story, and more importantly an incredible coming-of-age story. This movie has been receiving a ton of praise from the LGBT community, for it’s fantastic representation. This film is the first mainstream studio romantic comedy film, told from the perspective of a Gay teen. That needs to change, and I think this movie will help it to. I’ve read many stories of people who have seen the movie, saying this film gave them the courage to come out to their friends and families. That is so wonderful, and it just shows you how much of an effect this powerful movie had on so many people.

The thing about this film is that it’s core, its not a “coming out” story.. it’s a love story, and it’s about growing up, and kind of realizing who you are. Yes he does have a very emotional coming out moment, and it’s a very powerful part of the film, but it’s not done in a cliche Hollywood way. I can’t even tell you enough how much this movie moved me, and how much I loved it. Bring your tissues, because I honestly cried like ten times during this movie.. and I NEVER cry during anything.

Also the movie’s soundtrack is amazing, just a side note haha!

2.) “50 Shades Freed”

3/10 (Actual Review)

9/10 (Guilty Pleasure Review)

In Theaters

MV5BMjU5NjIxMTA2Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwOTcwMzIxNDM@._V1_SY1000_CR0,0,631,1000_AL_MV5BNjAwNDg5MzM2M15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMjgwMzIxNDM@._V1_SY1000_CR0,0,1499,1000_AL_

Okay don’t judge me haha.. This movie is obviously not a cinematic masterpiece, but it’s a total guilty pleasure watch for me. Oddly enough, I was never into the “50 Shades” books. I don’t really read a lot of Erotica, and these books just really put me off. It was kind of gross, I don’t know.. not my thing haha. I do enjoy the movies though. Also in this one they get married, so I was getting some Wedding Inspo haha.

The actual movie was fine, kind of ridiculous, but I knew what I was getting myself in to. I’m not going to bother really explaining the plot, you guys know the drill. Lots of awkward sex scenes, some minor crime/kidnapping plot.. lots of beautiful Vancouver scenery! Also they go to Paris, which was gorgeous.. and also as with all of the “50 Shades Soundtracks”, the songs are amazing.

I’ll attach the Google Plot Summary, in case you are actually interested haha

(Believing they’ve left behind the shadowy figures from the past, billionaire Christian Grey and his new wife, Anastasia, fully embrace their inextricable connection and shared life of luxury. Just as the Greys begin to step into their new roles, sinister events come to light and jeopardize their happy ending before it even begins.)

3.) “Veronica”

Horror Movie

On Netflix (It’s Sub-Titled- From Madrid)

10/10

A Horror Genre MASTERPIECE

MV5BMmRkMDQzYzItZDFhMS00YzM1LTk0ZGMtZmExMzdiNzEwOTE4XkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTMxODk2OTU@._V1_SY1000_SX700_AL_MV5BN2ZjOGJjMWYtODZmZS00MzcwLThhOGMtOTg1M2RiM2Q5YTczXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNjUwNzk3NDc@._V1_

Sorry for traumatizing you with that photo above, but that’s actually the film’s official poster. If that doesn’t set the scene for you.. I don’t know what will. What initially drew me to this movie, was the amount of Buzz surrounding it. I kept reading about it ALL over the Internet.. people were calling it “The Most Terrifying Movie of ALL Time”. Netflix was saying how people couldn’t get through it, and were actually turning it off (apparently something like 70% of people), because it was TOO scary. I would agree with both of those statements! It’s being called “The Most Disturbing Movie On Netflix” too! I didn’t turn it off, but I bet I can pin-point the exact moment that those people turned it off.

This was a beautifully filmed, brilliant, and deeply scary horror movie. It starts innocently enough, with a few girls playing around with an Ouija board, in the dark and creepy basement of their school. Then some version of a horrifying supernatural.. haunting/ghost/posession/demon situation begins unfolding…. and oh my GOD it was scary. Ryan kept falling asleep and I was like “YOU CANT LEAVE ME WITH THIS ALONE”. Don’t watch this one alone, or at all if you hate horror movies. I’m twisted though, and I loved it. It was the Horror Genre at it’s absolute best.

Also side note, the gorgeous Spanish main actress Sandra Escacena was so beautiful, and she captivated me from the first frame of the movie. I expect to see her in many more movies to come.

I just randomly came across this on Netflix, while I was sick in bed. Pretty much 99% of how I always find Netflix movies to watch haha. I was drawn in by the fact that Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, AND Chiwetel Ejiofor were in it! I love all three of them so much, and I was so excited to check this out. I remember seeing a trailer for this movie, a few years ago.. but I never got around to seeing it.

This is a very sad movie, about a team of Investigators who are all very close. They are all hard at work, attempting to bring down Terrorist Organizations.. when tragedy strikes. This isn’t a spoiler, since it’s all in the Trailer, and happens at the very beginning of the film……One of the team Jessica Cobb (played by Julia Roberts) is out on a call, investigating a horrific murder and rape of a young woman, who’s body has been left in a dumpster. When she gets to the scene of the crime.. horrifically it turns out to be her own teenage daughter Carolyn. The scene when she finds her daughter, is one of the most upsetting scenes I’ve ever watched.

The movie then takes off, and is a movie about revenge, consequences, and guilt. Her team of agents feel responsible in different ways, and everyone is looking for justice.

This is a very bleak, and sad film.. but overall a great story. Incredible cast, and very well acted. Not for the faint of heart though, as the subject matter is quite dark.

As you could probably tell from above, “Love, Simon” the film based on this book.. was one of my all-time favorite movies. The only reason I even went to SEE this incredible film, was because of this book. This book was perfect. I could tell from the first two chapters, that it was going to be a Five Star read for me.

“Why is straight the default? Everyone should have to declare one way or another, and it shouldn’t be this big awkward thing whether you’re straight, gay, bi, or whatever. I’m just saying.”
― Becky AlbertalliSimon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda

I won’t go over the plot again, since I went over it in my Movie Review. However, I will say, that the book was slightly different to the film.. but only in a very minor way. They cut out certain details, or minor characters.. to save time, and make it not as confusing.

This book really came out of nowhere, and I had NO idea I was going to love a Young-Adult Contemporary SO much right now. I’ve been reading so many dark thrillers lately, this was such a lovely change of pace.

This is such an important book, with such a powerful message. Highly recommenced for everyone of all ages.

I’ll attach the Good-Reads Plot as well, in case you are interested,

(Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised.

With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends, and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon’s junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now, change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he’s pushed out—without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he’s never met.)

I follow Reese Witherspoon’s Book-Club on Instagram, and “The Last Mrs Parrish” was their book-club pick, a few months ago. Going into it, I thought it might be another run-of-the-mill “domestic thriller”…. but it was so AMAZING. This book shocked me, and the TWISTS really floored me. I could never in a million years, have seen what happened coming! It was so well written, and the character development was superb. This book was fantastic, and I’ve already told everyone I know to read it.. so I had to tell you guys as well.

Good-Reads Plot Summary

(Amber Patterson is fed up. She’s tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more—a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne and her husband, Jackson—the beautiful philanthropist and the confident real estate mogul—are a golden couple straight out of a fairy tale, blessed with two lovely young daughters.

Amber’s envy could eat her alive–if she didn’t have a plan. Amber uses Daphne’s compassion and caring to insinuate herself into the family’s life, the first step in a meticulous scheme to undermine her. Before long, Amber is Daphne’s closest confidante, traveling to Europe with the Parrish family, and growing closer to Jackson. But a skeleton from her past may undermine everything that Amber has worked towards, and if it is discovered, her well-laid plan may fall to pieces)

This book series fits in well with this Blog post, because of my previous TV Show recommendation for “Siren”. This is a very Mermaid-Themed heavy post, haha!

I was searching all over the Internet for “Books about Mermaids”, and I saw the “Watersong” Trilogy, highly recommended by tons of people. This is a YA Series, about a young girl named Gemma, who lives in a small town. In the tiny town she’s from, there are three mysterious, and beautiful girls.. who roam around the town, and kind of creep everyone out. She isn’t sure what it is about them, but something feels off.

Well, Gemma soon finds out.. and I don’t want to spoil the rest, but it was AMAZING. It was quite violent, and not your average “Siren/Mermaid” story. It’s also told from Gemma’s sister Harper’s perspective, which I loved as well.

Each story got better, and better.. and I’m so sad it’s over. I hope they find a way to turn the Watersong world, into a movie or show.

I’ll attach the Good-Reads Plot as well (Only for Book #1 in the Series, so NO Spoilers),

(Fall under the spell of Wake—the first book in an achingly beautiful new series by celebrated author Amanda Hocking—and lose yourself to the Watersong.

Gorgeous. Fearless. Dangerous. They’re the kind of girls you envy; the kind of girls you want to hate. Strangers in town for the summer, Penn, Lexi and Thea have caught everyone’s attention—but it’s Gemma who’s attracted theirs. She’s the one they’ve chosen to be part of their group.

Gemma seems to have it all—she’s carefree, pretty, and falling in love with Alex, the boy next door. He’s always been just a friend, but this summer they’ve taken their relationship to the next level, and now there’s no going back. Then one night, Gemma’s ordinary life changes forever. She’s taking a late night swim under the stars when she finds Penn, Lexi and Thea partying on the cove. They invite her to join them, and the next morning she wakes up on the beach feeling groggy and sick, knowing something is different.

Suddenly Gemma is stronger, faster, and more beautiful than ever. But her new powers come with a terrifying price. And as she uncovers the truth, she’s is forced to choose between staying with those she loves—or entering a new world brimming with dark hungers and unimaginable secrets.)

4.) “The Party”

“One invitation. A lifetime of regrets.”

“The Party” was written by Robyn Harding, a local Vancouver author.. and I really enjoyed it. The plot blurb grabbed me so hard initially, it sounded fascinating. Basically it’s about a young girl’s 16th Birthday party, that goes horribly wrong. Her Mother and Father go all out preparing a big sleepover for her and her friends…. and something bad happens. You begin the book with dread, waiting for the “Bad” thing to happen, and it does.. and it IS bad. However, I found the actual “event” a bit anti-climatic. The real story is more about the covering up the guilty, the parent-shaming, rumors, and everything that goes along with this tragedy. I really enjoyed this one, but found it a bit slow. It felt like it revealed too much, too soon. Overall, still a great casual thriller read.

I’ll attach the Good-Reads Plot Summary as well,

(In this stunning and provocative domestic drama about a sweet sixteen birthday party that goes horribly awry, a wealthy family in San Francisco finds their picture-perfect life unraveling, their darkest secrets revealed, and their friends turned to enemies.

One invitation. A lifetime of regrets.

Sweet sixteen. It’s an exciting coming of age, a milestone, and a rite of passage. Jeff and Kim Sanders plan on throwing a party for their daughter, Hannah—a sweet girl with good grades and nice friends. Rather than an extravagant, indulgent affair, they invite four girls over for pizza, cake, movies, and a sleepover. What could possibly go wrong?

But things do go wrong, horrifically so. After a tragic accident occurs, Jeff and Kim’s flawless life in a wealthy San Francisco suburb suddenly begins to come apart. In the ugly aftermath, friends become enemies, dark secrets are revealed in the Sanders’ marriage, and the truth about their perfect daughter, Hannah, is exposed.

Harkening to Herman Koch’s The Dinner, Christos Tsiolkas’s The Slap, and Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies, The Party takes us behind the façade of the picture-perfect family, exposing the lies, betrayals, and moral lapses that neighbors don’t see—and the secrets that children and parents keep from themselves and each other.)

GORGEOUS

Tessa Sam, is the owner/baker behind “Sweet Bake Shop”. She used to have the cutest little pop-up shop in Yaletown, Vancouver. Her Instagram is the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen, and I was so thrilled when I saw she was releasing her first Cook-Book.

This Cook-Book is the most stunning thing I’ve ever seen. The photography (done mainly by Tessa herself) is GORGEOUS! The recipes are all laid out so well, and I want to make every single thing in this book! I picked this up at Costco for $16.99, where at Chapters it’s closer to $30. If you are a fan of Sweet Bake-Shop, or you love to bake.. get over to your local Costco, and pick one up!

Concerts & Live-Shows

1.) “Lorde: The Melodrama Tour”

IMG_7462IMG_7459 (1)Lorde_1024x390maxresdefault

Lorde is in my “Top 5 Fav Artists” List. When I saw she was coming to Vancouver, I ran to my computer to buy tickets. The tickets were SO expensive, that I decided I would just go by myself haha. My friends who are Lorde fans, already had their tickets.. and I would never have forgiven myself if I missed this. I was kind of worried about going alone, but whatever it worked out amazingly.

I met up with Julia & Lindsey before the show, and we all had Ramen & Diet Cokes.. it was perfect. Then we walked in the pouring rain over to the Stadium. They scanned my ticket, and apparently there was some sort of issue with my ticket. I was sweating. What if I screwed up the ticket, or my credit card didn’t go through.. or something along those disastrous lines. I got to the ticket window, and the woman says “Oh right, your ticket is in a section of the stadium, that ended up being blocked by a stage obstruction.. so we moved your seats”. I didn’t think much of it, until I saw the ticket. THEY MOVED ME INTO THE FRONT FUCKING ROW. Not the floor, but the FRONT of the seated seats. She was literally ten feet from my face, and I was freaking out. Of COURSE my iPhone camera’s front-facing camera is still broken, so these photos of Lorde on stage are courtesy of Google Images.

What a night. She was so close, and so talented. She was incredible live. Her voice, her stage presence, her outfits.. the dancing EVERYTHING. My fav moment was probably when she sat down and sang “Writer in the Dark”, and the wild confetti party for the encore of “Green Light”. 10/10 show.

2.) “Spice Girls: Spice World Movie Viewing & Live Drag-Show @ The Rio Theater Vancouver

BEST NIGHT

IMG_8228XXX E06 V2 SPICE GIRLS 13 CHART A ENT

I grew up in the 1990’s, and the “Spice Girls” were EVERYTHING to me. To say I was obsessed, is a giant understatement. I had the gum, the stickers, the dolls, the pencil cases, the lollipops, the wigs, the platforms… probably every type of merchandise they ever released.. I had it.

When I saw that the local Vancouver RIO Theater was not only showing “Spice World”, but hosting a live Drag-Show and Costume Contest… I was all-in. I bought two tickets at like 3 am, because I knew in my heart my Sister Paige wouldn’t miss it.

We had such an amazing time, singing along to all the songs, and just drowning in Nostalgia. The costumes were incredible, and the drag show was so much fun. I never thought I would get the chance to see “Spice World” again on the big screen.. it was a moment to remember.

Brunch

For my Best Friend Tina’s Birthday, we all had Brunch at a new restaurant in Vancouver, called HoneySalt. It’s located on the ground floor of the new Casino in Parq Vancouver. This has got to be hands down, one of the cutest places I’ve ever been. Every single inch of the place is so well decorated, and aesthetically pleasing. Not only was it a gorgeous place to walk around, but the food was exquisite! I will share some photos I took while we were there. I highly recommend this place, if you live (or are visiting) in Vancouver.

I will attach some more random snapshots that I took during March. Some include, my new blonde hi-lighted hair (Thanks to my very talented Hair-dresser Sister Paige)… some Seawall adventures…. some date night snaps of Ryan’s delicious Cactus Club chicken…. and just some other assorted Spring-time photos, that didn’t belong anywhere else specific.
