Hi Guys!

I’m sure you have all seen the “Vogue 73 Questions” videos going around the Internet lately. Vogue magazine Interviews celebrities, in their own homes.. and asks them 73 Questions. It’s so fascinating.. not even so much their (very rehearsed) answers.. but getting to see inside their homes. That made me sound like SUCH a stalker.. but trust me it’s a thrill.

Recently I’ve seen the “Vogue 73 Questions Tag” going around on the Blogs.. and it’s basically a spin on this concept.. where Bloggers answer 73 Random Questions.. so their readers can get to know them a bit better. I thought it would be fun to fill this out for you guys. I’m not very interesting haha, but you might be curious about some of these answers! So just in case you ever wanted to know 73 Random Things about me.. here you go!

Q1. What’s the best thing that has happened to you this month?
May has been an incredible month so far. My Sister got Engaged.. I celebrated my Best Friend’s Bachelorette Party… saw Taylor Swift Live…How can I possibly choose?

Q2. What’s the best thing that has happened to you this year?
Getting Engaged to my Best Friend.

Q3. What’s the best thing ever?
A day off work, with no social obligations.. a house full of snacks, pj’s & a brand new show JUST released on Netflix, ready for me to binge watch it back-to-back. Also throw in an Amazon Prime book delivery…and it’s my ideal situation. I’m so cool.

Q4. What’s your favourite season?
Fall. Fall. Fall. Hands Down. Especially the crisp turn of it mid-October. I love the moment I can acceptably wear tights, boots, and a pea-coat/toque combination again. I thrive in the Fall. I’m NOT a Summer person.

Q5. What’s your favourite holiday?
Halloween.

Q6. Would you ever live in a big city?
Yes! I’ve only ever lived in Vancouver.. with a brief stint in Kelowna B.C a few years ago. I love big cities.. but I also really love the small-town thing too. I’m pretty easy to please.. if a Chapters is within 20 km, I’ll live there, haha. Also I really want to live in Paris for a year or so.. someday. It’s a dream.

Q7. What’s your favorite ice cream?
Peanut Butter Chocolate, from Häagen-Dazs. Also their plain Chocolate is pretty amazing too. You really can’t go wrong with Häagen-Dazs.

Q8. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
No. This might be weird.. but I think I’ve only worn slip on shoes, or some form of slip-in heels… for maybe as long as I can remember. I have one pair of sneakers, and I slide right into them. I can’t even picture if they have laces or not.. I’m lazy, I can’t deal with the whole laces mess.

Q9. What’s your favourite dessert?
Ahh.. how to choose only one? Maybe like a Dairy Queen Ice-Cream cake.. but I only eat the chocolate center part, obviously. Also I really like cookies. Once I got loose at a Mrs Field’s Cookie store.. and I ended up coming home with like 50 mini cookies. It was a dangerous evening.

Q10. Cake or pie?
Cake I guess. I’m not a huge cake or pie person.. If I had to choose a food to feast on.. it’s probably something in the potato-chip family.. or any kind of gummy.

Q11. What’s your least favourite food?
Fruit. Ugh. I can’t stand the texture. I know I’m a total creep for even saying that. Even typing that made me feel like a serial killer.

Q12. What’s your favourite condiment?
Hot Sauce. Any type. The hotter the better. I have an actual addiction. I carry it around in my purse, and just destroy everything with it. My Sister just brought me home the HOTTEST hot sauce from Spain, and it’s so hot that my lips burn for hours afterwards. Just how I like it.

Q13. It’s brunch, what do you eat?
I’m not a big “breakfast food” fan. I hate eggs, and I can only really stand it, if it’s scrambled or poached HARD.. which is always SO weird to order. People think I’m so weird. “I’ll get it poached HARD please”.. the waiter is always like “uhh yeah ok”. I like any type of Breakfast “hash”, with like potatoes, onions, peppers, chorizo etc? Loaded with hot-sauce. Also love a good toast with jam.

Q14. What’s your favorite color?
To wear.. Black. To decorate with.. white & anything pastel. I’m really into pastels these days.

Q15. What color dress did you wear to your prom?
Prom. Oh my GOD. My dress story is kind of ridiculous. My Mom, Sister and I drove down to the States.. for the big dress hunt. We decided to gorge ourselves at the Apple-bee’s near the mall.. BEFORE we went dress shopping.. which was a huge mistake. I was like 16 and I had no self control, and ate so many chicken fingers.. I was like waddling to the mall. They put me on this “dress stand”, under these HORRIBLE florescent lights.. and I had to do a 360 “model” for my family.. while nursing a 6-month-pregnant type of gut. All the dresses looked ridiculous, and I found this yellow satin number.. that I deluded myself into believing was VERY “Beauty and the Beast”.. it wasn’t. I got it home, and tried it on and we all killed ourselves laughing.. it was that bad. Thank GOD one of my Best Friends Elizabeth, had already had her prom a few weeks prior (at another school), and she lent me her beautiful hand-made white dress. It was so pretty, and she totally SAVED me. I don’t have any photos of this whole night, because it was pre-social media and all that shit. Thank GOD for those days.

Q16. Blow dry or air dry?
Well my hair looks 100% better with a Blow-Dry, but I usually oversleep, and am in a full-blown blind rage in the morning. I always end up air-drying, and thankfully my hair is naturally wavy.. so it seems kind of intentional. It’s not great though, haha.

Q17. Do you think you’re strong?
Physically? Not one bit. I get winded carrying my Amazon boxes up the stairs. Mentally? I guess so?

Q18. Who’s a person you’d love to have coffee with?
Can I choose anyone, like a celebrity or something? Probably Colin Firth so I could attempt an awkward seduction.. or maybe Annie Leibovitz, so I could beg/force her to let me intern for her. But realistically? Probably my Best Friend Tina and her new baby. That’s my fav coffee date these days <3

Q19. When was the last time you cried?
Watching “Love Simon” maybe? Or lets be honest.. maybe at like 2 am, while I’m awake just watching all these You-Tube Wedding videos. Who even am I?

Q20. Who’s the last person you texted?

My Mom, thanking her for such an incredible night tonight.

Q21. Twitter or Instagram?
Instagram 100%. I never really got on board with the whole Twitter thing. I have one, and rarely use it. Instagram is just so amazing. Don’t even get me started.

Q22. Who should everyone follow right now?
I have HUNDREDS of suggestions.. I should do a post dedicated to this entirely…. I have to say my few recent favs are “Dirty2000’s (which posts amazing throwback photos from my teen years.. basically Britney, Lindsay Lohan, The Simple Life.. it’s just amazing), I also love “EveryoutfitonSATC” (which is a HILARIOUS account dedicated to making fun of every outfit on “Sex and the City”, as well as just loving it so much and bringing so much nostalgia back into my life), and lastly I am OBSESSED with “TeutaMatoShiDuriqi” (a brilliant designer who makes the most STUNNING fairy-tale dresses ever.). Also honorable mentions, if you are into Fashion (Noelle Downing, and Rach Martino) are amazing… and if you are into books (Dailymaj & MyFictionalWorld) are two of my all-time favs.

Q23. Have you ever had anything stolen from you?
Yes. My wallet several times, two iPhone’s (during the same week.. such a nightmare), my purse.. and I’m sure more stuff. I was once robbed in my own home, while I was asleep in another room. Literally terrifying. It makes my skin crawl thinking about it.

Q24. Favourite country you visited?
France. I can’t even put into words how much I loved it. Paris is the most beautiful place in the entire world.

Q25. Last country you visited?
Mexico! Take me back.

Q26. Place you wish to visit?
Greece & Japan. We are thinking Greece for our Honeymoon! I need to live out some “Mamma Mia” fantasies.

Q27. First pet?
A fish called Dusty haha. He met a grisly end.. I won’t traumatize you with the details.

Q28. Favorite Disney animal?
The Seagull “Scuttle” from “The Little Mermaid”.

Q29. What are you doing tomorrow?
Finishing Stephen King’s new book “The Outsider”, possibly ordering Thai Food.. and maybe going for Brunch. Can’t wait. Basically a whole lot of nothing.

Q30. What are you most excited about in life right now?
The 3 upcoming Weddings I’ve got coming up. I’m going to be a Bride for one, a Maid of Honor For Another, and a Bridesmaid for the Third. What a year!

Q31. What book are you reading right now?
“The Outsider” by Stephen King.. and it’s AMAZING. Also terrifying.

Q32. A book you read because everyone else was reading it?
“Simon VS The Homo Sapiens Agenda”, and it was the best decision ever. Also “We Were Liars” & “Gone Girl”.

Q33.  What are you completely bored of right now?
Facebook. I’m just not into it anymore. I love having it as a Directory of all my memories, and family and friends.. but I’m just sort of sick of it. All I see in my Feed are Ads, and CREEPILY targeted articles. I searched ONE TIME for “JTT”.. you know the 90’s heartthrob? I did it just out of boredom.. and now I’m CONSTANTLY bombarded with him, his merch, weird posts about him. Facebook creeps me out. Stop stalking my life.

Q34. What’s your favourite beverage?
Diet Coke. I know it’s terrible for me. I know I know. But I love it. Nothing like that guzz.

Q35. What’s your favourite cocktail?
I don’t drink anymore.. but it used to be a Vodka-Diet Coke. I’m so imaginative haha. I was big into the “Vodka Slimes” in College.. I couldn’t even tell you what the hell was in it. It was sour, amazing, and probably like 500 calories. A college Freshman’s dream.

Q36. What would you order at a McDonald’s ‘drive-thru’?

Nuggets! With AS MANY Dips as they are willing to put in the bag. Like give me 10 dips, I’m into it.

Q37. What’s one thing you still have from your childhood?
One thing? I have EVERYTHING. I’m so sentimental it’s gross. I’ve kept every art project, every essay, every photograph, every letter I’ve ever been sent.. just anything/everything. Even a napkin from my first date with Ryan! I’m going to end up on that show about Hoarding… but I swear I do it in a chic way.. all my stuff is in very cute boxes haha!

Q38. What’s your favourite current TV show?
“Safe” on Netflix. Michael C Hall is so great… and I’m also LOVING “Being Human”, “Skins”, and “Misfits”.

Q39. What’s a movie that made you cry?
“The Fellowship of the Ring”, the first “Lord of the Rings” movie.. REALLY did me in. I’ll never get over the trauma of that scene. You know the one. Other than that.. I remember when Paige and I went to go see “The Fault in Our Stars”, we were like SOBBING so hard I couldn’t breathe. Just the MOST upsetting 2 hours of my life.

Q40. What do you miss the most?
The indescribable THRILL of renting movies at Rogers Video/Blockbuster. Of finding a copy of a New Release, behind the shelf-display copy.. or getting a good deal on a “7 Day Rental”…and don’t even get me STARTED on when my parents would spring for chips or something from beside the till. Kids today will NEVER feel this thrill. I sound like a bitter old woman, but don’t get me wrong.. Netflix is like 80% of my life, haha. I miss that thrill though. I feel the same way about a Scholastic Book Order. I’m getting chills thinking about it.

Q41. What’s something you can’t do?

Drive. I don’t have my Drivers License, which people always think is odd. I got my “L” and took “Drivers ED” in high-school, and the Instructor told me I was “the worst student he ever had”. I also took down a tree on my street/crashed into my Garage Door. I’m SO BAD AT DRIVING. I think my biggest problem, is I’m so nervous and weird.. that it’s actually terribly dangerous. I’ve lived in Downtown Vancouver for over 10 years now, and I have always just been able to walk everywhere, or take a quick bus-ride…so I’ve managed to avoid it. Ryan drives, and we always just use “Car-2-Go” if we need to go anywhere, it’s so easy! We can park them right behind our house! I’m convinced “Self-Driving Cars” are on the way. Holding out hope for that one haha.

Q42. What are your nicknames?
I always wanted to be a cool kid with a nickname.. but I never really convinced anyone to give me one. It’s usually just “Carl”, which I don’t love.. but I’ll take it.

Q43. What makes you laugh a lot?
Larry David. Also Reddit Memes. Also Ryan. Also my whole family.

Q44. Heels or flats?
Flats. I will occasionally bust out the heels, but only if it’s a really big fucking deal. I always regret it, ten minutes out of the door.

Q45. What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done?
Maybe this wild ropes course, we did last weekend for Julia’s Bachelorette. I’m not that wild haha.

Q46. What’s one thing you wanted to do but been scared of?
Zip-Lining, Sky-diving, White-Water Rafting.. I will never do these things, but I like the idea of them. Also I’ve sat out of a ton of Amusement Park rides, and hated myself for missing out afterwards. I’m such a baby haha. Also a really terrifying thing for me… paying for something with my Mastercard.. and NOT asking for a receipt!? NIGHTMARE. I could never. I told you, I really live on the edge.

Q47. What’s the thing you’re most proud of?
Starting my own Photography Business, and landing my amazing Fiance. I’m also really proud of my Sister who has absolutely killed it with EVERYTHING she has touched, so far in her career. When she won the award for Canada, at the Trend-vision Hair Awards.. it was maybe the proudest moment of my life. I CRIED I was so proud. I’m also so proud of my Parents… and of my Best Friends. Tina, one of my oldest friends.. basically my Sister.. I am so proud of her. She gave birth to her son this year, and she’s the most amazing Mom in the world. I’m so lucky to have all these women in my life.

Q48. What did you want to do with your life at age 5?
Hahah at 5 I was deluded and thought I was a mermaid. Seriously. I wanted nothing other than to roll around on the kitchen floor with a towel on my legs, and have someone buy it.

Q49. Dogs or cats?
Neither, because I’m really allergic.. but I think Dogs. I love my Sister and Luke’s dog Sadie, and I’m REALLY allergic to Cats.. but I have to give a shout out to Julia’s cat Scout.. because she’s the best cat ever (also Benji, Winston & Sia).

Q50. What’s the most important thing someone can learn?
To stop caring so much what other people think of you…. how to cook something for yourself other than eating bread and hot-sauce every day for a year (me)… that the most important things in life are really only your family and friends…. also how to re-set your Wireless Router.

Q51. Bath or shower?
Bath. I lose control, and just lay there reading for like 5 hours. It’s so weird. I could probably stay in a bath for like 24 hours.

Q52. Mountain hideaway or beach house?
Mountain Hideaway, where I can live out all my Twilight fantasies.

Q53. What’s your favourite scented candle?
I love the Voluspa ones… I think “Branche Vermeil” is my fav. That sounds all fancy and candle-pretentious of me.. but honestly I love anything Vanilla/Cupcake/Cookie scented. I’ll take anything.. love a good candle.

Q54. If you could spend 3 months anywhere, where would it be?
Paris!

Q55. Are you messy or neat?
A mix. In my “zones” of the house.. aka my office, my bookshelves.. I’m INSANELY neat. Everything is lined up, organized just “so”… However the rest of the house is hurricane of all my clothes, books, etc.  Sorry Ryan haha!

Q56. What’s the first thing you do each morning?
Sigh loudly a hundred times, roll over and press “snooze” until it’s impossible not to… drag myself to the shower.. listen to a Podcast, and try to make myself look presentable. Then drag myself out the front door. It’s a rough time haha.

Q57. What do you have for breakfast?
Honestly, I hardly ever have Breakfast. Maybe if I’m lucky.. a coffee and a Starbucks Breakfast Sandwich. I like the Bacon and Gouda one, in case you care.

Q58. What’s the last thing you do before you go to bed?
Read, and watch Vlog’s on You-Tube.

Q59. What’s one skill you wish you had?
I wish I was even SLIGHTLY musically talented. Any instrument.. anything. I can’t sing to save my life, or play anything. I love this idea of my alternate-reality me, doing these things haha.

Q60. What’s your favourite pizza?
I REALLY loved this Pizza from Boston Pizza, called the “Thai Chicken Pizza”. I loved it in an un-healthy obsessive way. When they took it off the Menu, I was actually devastated. Nothing will EVER compare. R.I.P Thai Chicken.

Q61. Describe your ideal man in three words?
Funny. Kind. A Reader.

Q62. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
My Mom, again.. thanking her for such a wonderful night.

Q63. A what age were you at your happiest?
Now. I’ve never been happier, and more completely myself in my whole life.

Q64. What’s the last thing you ate?
I’m knocking back some Mini Ritz Cheese Bites, as I type here. Classy.

Q65. Where do you go when you need to be alone?
My room. It’s my zone. I’ve got my books, my computer… everything.

Q66. What’s the biggest thing on your mind right now?
Trying to plan our Wedding, without a Wedding Planner. It’s so stressful. Who KNEW how many random vendor’s one needs to get married? I have to hire a “pipe and drape” person to cover up a table with a sheet?! Wild. I’m so excited though! It’s a good stress. Also I’ve got a lot of feelings about the new Season of “13 Reasons Why” on my mind. Some of them good, some of them VERY bad. I’ll go into more detail in my upcoming “May Wrap Up”.

Q67. What’s the best activity to do at home on a rainy day?
Read. You all knew I would say that.

Q68. What are you listening to right now?
I’m listening to Fever Ray. A friend of mine introduced me to her, and I am obsessed. She is one half of the duo “The Knife”, who I LOVE. This is Karin’s solo project.. and she’s a Swedish genius. Her song “If I had a Heart” is the opening credits song for the show “Vikings”. Just amazing, amazing. Thanks Jordan for getting me into this!

Q69. On a scale of 1-10, how happy are you with life right now?
10. A resounding 10.

Q70. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
I’m not very adventurous with food.. but the weirdest thing.. is probably some combination of an otherwise normal snack… in which I’ve completely drenched it in hot sauce. Also Ryan is always really embarrassed to pick up a Subway sandwich for me.. because I literally like the meat, cheese and bread.. with JUST sauce. No veggies. Don’t judge me. I know it’s gross haha.

Starter 100%.

Q72. Is there a dessert you don’t like?
Anything with fruit.

Q73. What is the furthest you have been from home?
Our European Adventure. So far to travel, but the most memorable trip of my life. Thank you Ativan for getting me through such a long flight.
