Hi Everyone,
Last weekend was the final Long Weekend of the Summer, and Ryan and I were so excited to get the chance to head up to our Family cabin on Gambier Island. We have had such a busy Summer, that we haven’t had a chance to even get up to the cabin ONCE yet this year.. which is SO sad. My Sister and I grew up, going to Gambier Island every single Summer, for weeks at a time. It’s a second home, and it’s the most beautiful place in the world. We have so many memories up there, and so many old V.H.S tapes, and “Sweet Valley High” books.. it’s wonderful. I always feel like I’m 14 years old again when we are there.. riding around on old rusty bikes, swimming in the ocean, taking out the old faulty row-boat.. and getting to see the stars at night in the sky (seriously you can see almost every single star, and so many constellations.. it’s stunning). It’s magic up there.
Ryan and I headed down to Horseshoe Bay last Saturday afternoon, and got on the 30 minute Water Taxi… and just like that we were home. We had the best time… Reading (I read two whole books), watching old movies, BBQ-ing, and just soaking up the last of that Summer sun. For the first time ever (other than when we were in Mexico) I’ve got an actual really good tan.. I NEED to keep this going until the Wedding (11 Weeks Away…EEK).
I hope you all had an amazing Labour Day Long Weekend,
Here are some Snapshots from our Weekend away,
Love,
Carly
