The Cabin Diaries

Hi Guys!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Summer so far, and if you live in Vancouver B.C like me.. I really hope for your sake you have an AC unit. It has been SO hot here, it’s almost unbearable. I’ve been swimming in the ocean almost everyday, just to cool off for a brief second or two. I really can’t complain though, because it’s been such a beautiful Summer so far.

A few weeks ago we went up to our family cabin on Gambier Island, and it was such a lovely escape from the city. There is hardly any cell reception up there, and zero Internet. This ended up being a nice detox break from our phones, and made the trip very relaxing. Every time I set foot inside my childhood cabin, I’m filled with so much nostalgia. There are fragments, and memories of my teenage years, scattered all around the cabin. From the tattered old “Sweet Valley High” paperbacks, to the stacks of old diaries, and an old tube of Lip Smacker lip-gloss.. it feels like going into a time portal or something. My Mom even has her entire Beanie Baby collection up there!

I took so many photos, and sometimes images can replicate the feel of the trip, more than any of my words can. So I will share my favorite photos down below. Also not to brag but my Puppy is the cutest animal on planet earth, and seeing all these photos of her makes me so ridiculously happy.

Thanks for reading guys, and stay cool out there!

See you very soon with my Banff Trip blog post,

xo,

Carly
